Project

The effects and structure of inward and outward investment
A research project that aims to examine the effects of the behaviour of multinational firms on social welfare and the effects that taxes have on multinational behaviour.
Description of the Project
The research is aimed at refereed journal publications and covers three main topic areas:
- the home country effects of outward Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), which looks at how firms' outward FDI strategies relate to their activity at home and their impact on firms and workers
- the effects of inward investment on host economy firms and workers
- how multinational firms organise their financial activities and choose the legal form of their overseas operations
